STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

WILL NOT IGNITE

When an electric stove won’t ignite, first ensure the stove power cord is plugged in and all circuit breakers are switched on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the appliance power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is burning, it means a different part of the stove will have to be fixed. The cause of the problem could be an infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN WON’T HEAT

A stove or burner or oven that does not produce heat will not do much. An oven won’t heat when there is a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. Your burner won’t ignite when an element breaks or the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We know how to troubleshoot and fix these common problems in less than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

PROGRAM ISSUES

You can assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken if the timer or program functions are not working. If that is the case, we know how to fix control boards on GE, LG, Sears, KitchenAid, Kenmore and many other brands and models of ovens, ranges and stoves. We provide a warranty on control panels and the replacement parts we use for this oven repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS VERY HOT

You always should have a hot oven. Although not too hot! When the oven heat is too hot, it might be due to an issue with the sensor or thermostat. Our repairmen can find the location of the issue and then fix it. Just be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of skin burns from the very high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is times where an igniter will glow but it won’t light. The cause is sometimes from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We determine if we can repair these appliance parts or if we will need to replace the parts.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

Newer self-cleaning types of ovens can have door problems often. The door will not open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We inspect the door latch, thermostat and seal to find out why the door will not open and then complete the repair so we can fix the problem.
